RTCs are state-licensed facilities run by licensed healthcare professionals and located in attractive residential neighborhoods. These centers provide 24-hour care in a highly focused environment, free from the distractions of daily life. Patients receive both group and individual therapy, as well as a range of group activities that educate and help them develop new coping skills for a lifetime. If the center provides treatment for substance use disorders, detox services may be available at the residential level. The skills learned during residential treatment can be applied when the patient returns home or transitions to a different level of care, such as partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programming.

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers a balance between inpatient and outpatient care, allowing patients to receive intense treatment during the day while returning home in the evening. The duration and frequency of the program can vary depending on the individual’s needs, with patients participating in 6-8 hour sessions up to six days a week for 4-6 weeks on average. Whether serving as a stepping stone to a lower level of care or as a standalone treatment program, PHP is tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a flexible treatment option with a combination of group and individual therapy sessions that last for 3 hours each, taking place 3-5 days a week for an average duration of 3-6 weeks. This program provides a structured approach to therapy compared to traditional outpatient care and can serve as either a transition from the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or as a starting point for individuals in need of a higher level of care. Our IOP centers are situated in conveniently accessible office buildings, with ample parking available.
